Almost every person who does water extraction will tell you that carpet manufacturers recommend this process. The truth is they do not. The term you find in the warranty is that they recommend “proper steam cleaning methods to clean” their carpets.  The problem is, they don’t define the word “Proper”.  No carpet manufacturer will put their entire reputation on the line for an inadequate cleaning process. Carpet warranties are very tricky to read especially the fine print. The warranties are written so that they are not worth the paper they’re written on. Carpets are still mostly made with jute backing which is a natural fiber held together with water-based glue. With the amount of water that is used to clean with water extraction, it causes deterioration in the backing. Carpet warranties do not cover the backing of the carpet. The backing is what holds the entire carpet together and the manufacturers know this. Manufacturers try to sell carpet on average to a customer every 5 to 7 years. Manufacturers actually depend on “steam cleaning” to deteriorate their product.

The CLEANPRO Carpet Cleaning System® was designed to make carpets last 2 to 3 times longer on average. Carpet manufacturers make hundreds of millions of dollars a year selling carpet. You have to ask yourself this question. Do you think carpet manufacturers are interested in a system like ours? ABSOLUTELY NOT!

We are not out to impress the carpet manufacturers. Our carpet cleaning system was developed to accommodate the consumer. We’ve been able to convince large national corporations that purchase tens of millions of dollars of carpet a year to look closely at carpet warranties. If you have a close look at the wording in carpet warranties, you will see how they void themselves. This is also why manufacturers do not sell the warranties separately anymore because very few people would pay the additional price for the warranty. Nowadays they just include the warranty in the purchase.
